Jon and Kaye Dixon didn't stumble into Western Colorado by accident. After years in Alaska, they made a deliberate choice — to trade the cold for canyon views, big skies, and the kind of outdoors that only this part of the world can offer. Grand Junction wasn't just a new zip code. It became home.
Jon has always had a thing for cars. Not just owning them — truly appreciating them. The kind of person who notices the details, keeps things maintained, and believes that a well-kept vehicle says something about the people behind it. When the idea for Moments & Miles came to life in 2021, it was a natural extension of that passion.
Together, Jon and Kaye — parents to five daughters and grandparents to four — built something they're genuinely proud of: a rental fleet they'd put their own family in, offered with the kind of hospitality that comes naturally when you actually care.
Day-to-day, the business is managed by their daughter Sierrah. When you call, text, or book — a Dixon answers. That's not a tagline. That's just how we operate.

Every car in our fleet is personally owned and maintained. If it's not good enough for our family, it's not in the fleet. Cleaned, gassed, and inspected before every rental.

Every vehicle is personally owned by our family — not a corporate fleet. We clean and inspect every car before pickup, deliver free to GJT Airport and two other locations, and you deal with a real person every time. No hidden fees. No surprise charges. When you text us, a Dixon answers.

Daily rates start at $59/day for the Trax up to $120/day for the Ram 1500. Every rental includes 300 miles per day, a full tank at pickup, and a $100 refundable security deposit. Book 3+ days and get 5% off. Book 7+ days and get 10% off. No airport fees. No surprise charges.
Yes. All renters must have active personal auto insurance with full coverage (comprehensive and collision). We verify directly with your insurer before confirming your booking. If you're under 21 or don't have qualifying insurance, our full fleet is available on Turo with additional coverage options.
Any, and all, drivers must have a valid drivers license. All valid licenses must be uploaded at booking and will be verified by Moments and Miles Rentals. Failure to provide identification or providing an expired license will result in cancellation of rental without refund.
Absolutely — Moab and all neighboring states are expressly permitted and encouraged. Grand Junction puts you about 30 minutes from Moab. Our Wrangler and Grand Cherokee are both trail-ready and perfect for Arches, Canyonlands, and the surrounding terrain. Vehicle use anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States is permitted.
Cancel within 24 hours of booking — full refund. Cancel 48+ hours before pickup — 50% refund of rental charges. Cancel under 48 hours before pickup — no refund of rental charges. The $100 deposit is always refunded unless documents fail verification. Read the full policy in our Terms & Conditions.
